Humanity Magazine Global and Dr. H C  Elena Ramírez, CEO, Founding President, and Editor,  expresses its firm support for HELPHELLAS and the 1st Volunteering Festival of the Attica Region in Greece—a historic event set to take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the iconic OAKA stadium in Athens.

At the HELPHELLAS pavilion, and in the presence of Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias, the Flame of Volunteerism will be lit once again—22 years after the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.

The symbolic lighting will be performed by actress Mimi Denisi, a HELPHELLAS Ambassador, accompanied by Greek Olympic athletes who will link the Olympic Ideal with the spirit of solidarity today.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to George Gampierakis, President of HELPHELLAS, for this extraordinary initiative that reignites the Flame of Volunteering 22 years after the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and introduces the new Charter of Volunteering and Social Responsibility. It is an honor to witness this symbolic passing of the torch from the Olympic volunteers to the new generation of 2026.

"The flame does not merely look to the past; it symbolizes the generational handover of volunteering to those who today champion the environment, health, civil protection, and culture."

— Giorgos Gambierakis, President of HELPHELLAS.

Symbolically passing the flame to the youth... For when people unite in solidarity, the light of voluntary service never fades! 🔥🤝🏛️
